BT Tower Climb

On Wednesday 10th March, Playmates, Sean and Keely climbed the BT tower to raise money for Comic Relief.

They limbered up and all successfully reached the top of the 811 steps (phew no casualties!) along with BT, other BT agencies, celebrities and olympians -  Collectively raising £10k for good causes.

Kevin Lamey, BT Retail Campaign Internal Communications said "The sponsored 'fit nose' BT Tower climb for Comic Relief on 10/03, one of many BT fundraising programmes was a tremendous success, one we can all be proud of for a great cause. Our media agencies and BT people from all parts of the business, from all over the country turned out in force to take on the 811 steps to the top. We raised in the region of £10K. It was smiles all round, better still all 134 climbers were still happily smiling at the top! A brilliant day that will stay with us for years to come and one that will help transform thousands of lives for the better".

The sponsored climb was followed with an evening of entertainment hosted by Clive Anderson. The night included an auction that raised a further £18k for Comic Relief. Special guests included included Ellen MacArthur, Kelly Holmes, Martin Keown, Leon Taylor and Professor Greg White.
