Brief
Develop and implement a communications strategy that most effectively delivers the messages around the new careers programme and promotes the career path opportunities that Unilever offers it’s Research & Development staff.
Solution
The key challenge was to develop a successful communications strategy that would effectively engage a diverse audience on a global scale, who have varying access to media platforms.
The solution we developed included a substantial website, accessible through an internal server which provided users with an opportunity to identify career path opportunities, view profiles of colleagues and map out their future within an organisation that offers diverse and exciting future roles, around the world. The programme was launched by way of a global road show, with champions being trained who then acted as local champions, who cascaded the information in their local areas.
Results
The programme is now successfully rolled out globally and has been adopted at a local level. An on-going measurement process will monitor retention and satisfaction via an annual global survey.
