
Gillette Venus
Brief
Gillette wanted to leverage MTV’s audience to promote their new Venus razor. The online experience needed to extend the above the line ‘paradise island’ theme and immerse the audience in a colourful, friendly and vibrant world.
Solution
Playgroup created a richly animated island environment consisting of stylised shapes and patterns and model photography. The website content was integrated into parallax scrolling scenery, rich with atmospheric island detail.
The product was showcased alongside animated shaving tips and a competition to win a whole range of paradise themed prizes. Playgroup also created a Flash arcade game-‘Flirts Up’, a highly addictive combination of, you guessed it, flirting and surfing.
