I've been following the work by Berlin based artist Markus Kison since I stumbled upon his "Vanity Ring" last year.
His latest project "Pulse" visualises the "emotional expression" of blogs from the site blogger.com. The expressions are categorised according to Robert Plutchik's psychoevolutionary theory of emotion and associated accordingly to a list of synonyms. Each synonym then transforms a physical 3D circumplex model.
The result: the audience views a continually morphing object representative of countless bloggers emotions.
I like the idea that emotion can be represented in a solid state and through the "shape shifting" object there becomes a physical dialogue between each blog.
