Bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when scared half to death
I visited the British Museum last week and saw this sleeping head entitled 'Mask II' by artist Ron Mueck. It was part of an exhibition dealing with life & death, the interesting element is how the history of war & fight (often resulting in death) originates from the lack of trust. In the current troubled economic climate we can blame a lot of the escalating problems on the lack of trust. This lack of trust has scared investors to near hysteria and banks refuse to loan each other money (as they don't trust each other, oh the irony).
Some brave and clever souls within the financial sector are at the moment working night and day to pull the sector (and the rest of us) out of this mess. You must be brave to succeed in a sector that has collectively failed and showed that they are no better than a flock of sheep on a massive ego trip.
What the financial sector needs now is group session with clever psychiatrist, to work out their internal trust issues... I see no other solution for notorious irrational behavior that ultimately hurts themselves more than any.
