Featuring leading practitioners and thinkers from the web, virtual worlds, mobile, games and interactive TV, the event explores how our collective digital future will pan out, which trends will prosper or fail, and the role of interactive design in our cultural and social life.

Now, there is no doubt that a man which can be labeled a leading author and printer, satirist, political theorist, politician, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman and diplomat during the American Enlightenment and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America has dished out his fair share of wisdom.

But when he wrote 'The Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results', I think he simplified things a bit to much. People with the rare skill of persistence sometimes achieves the most remarkable things this way, and you can never rule out the theory of randomness.

However Benji's definition of insanity does apply when management or other business leaders keep on doing the same thing over and over, year after year and the skill of persistence or randomness no longer applies. When you or your boss are stuck in that vicious circle, you should 'snap' him out of it. A good technique is to suggest she takes a new route to work every day. Your boss will be exposed to a different way of approaching a problem. Now I might be wrong, but if your boss does not follow your advice I would get him fired or jump ship yourself, as she will lead you and your company nowhere.

It is hard to be a business leader in an economy which is almost in recession, only a certain type of leaders will succeed. I believe the brave will be rewarded.

I came a cross a technology today that really caught my attention. Sekai Camera (World Camera in Japanese) is developing an iPhone application (social tagging service) that will allow you to get 'Terminator' vision. Users walk around town using their iPhone’s display to get information on their surroundings. If you walk through a mall, for example, Sekai Camera tags will show you where you can find something to eat, additional information about a certain product tagged before, or how many calories in a chocolate bar.

The idea is that people will tag their surroundings and this information will be served to all the users of Sekai Camera. You can even leave messages for your friends, or the phone can overlay a map or direction on the display.

I really hope tonchidot (Tokyo based software company) succeed in getting this product to the marked as this truly is the first proper innovative application I have seen for the iPhone.
Imagine the games that can unfold in the streets of London once we start hide virtual messages around town...
