As a GCSE student, I use the internet a lot for school and for revision before the dreaded exams. There are a lot of websites that give advice, but none that really break down the course into each module so that you can find exactly what you need quickly. Most of them need hours of studying before you can even think about revising!
So far the only one I found that doesn’t take for ever to read is the Bitesize site. The Bitesize website is one of the most frequently used revision websites: and I can see why! All other sites tend to be a tad boring, just lots and lots of text which doesn’t really explain what you have to do to actually pass the exam. For example: For my English Literature exam, I have to read either “Of Mice and Men” or “To Kill a Mocking Bird”. Instead of pages and pages of what the books are about, the Bitesize site just picks out the bits that you need to know for the exam, like characters or the themes. Also after reading through the short but informative text, the site offers a test so that you can see how much of the information has stayed in your head.
The layout makes the site quick and simple to use, by breaking subjects up into smaller chunks. Bitesize is defiantly a site that I would recommend to all students, as it is so quick and easy to use, and only tells you the important information rather than pages of facts that you’re never going to use again.
I think my PC’s going to be constantly on this page for the next couple of years for the duration of my exams, and I am more than happy and very confident about using it.
