Playgroup | Helping brands build genuine brand equity

It was with real pleasure that Playgroup attended the opening of 100% Norway at Designers Block (part of the ever influential 100% Design series of events). In this credit crunch era, with financial institutions crumbling around us and doom and gloom thick in the air, it was refreshing to be surrounded by such a sense of optimism, positivity and creative expression. Design is not dead - design is weathering the storm.

Lovely too to witness the sense of national pride and confidence from the gathered Norwegian design community. The fact that the Norwegian Design Council (in conjunction with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway and InsideNorway) choose to showcase their considerable talents in London is a glowing testament to the continuing influence of British design within Europe and for that we should all feel proud. The exhibition, opened by HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit and curated by Henrietta Thompson, features the latest in furniture and product design from the cool north.

The creative bonds between Norway and  Britain have never been stronger, and we at Playgroup have certainly discovered working with Norwegian clients to be a fruitful experience.

100% Design continues at Earl's Court until Sunday 21st September and is well worth a visit.
